Review Android connections manually

A connection indicator answers a narrow question. Wi-Fi connected does not prove internet access, and Airplane Mode is not a malware result. Review each connection deliberately while preserving a way to reach trusted help.

1. Identify the menu you are using

Google’s Pixel reference uses Settings → Network & internet; some instructions require Android 14 or later. Other manufacturers may use different labels, such as Connections. Record the model and version so a copied card is not mistaken for universal Android instructions.

Read the current state before changing it. A remembered network, a paired accessory and an active internet route are different facts. If the menu does not match, use the device manufacturer’s documentation rather than guessing.

2. Check radios separately

On the appropriate device screen, review Wi-Fi, mobile-network or mobile-data choices, and Bluetooth. Google notes that Wi-Fi or Bluetooth can be used in Airplane Mode and remembered for later use. Do not assume a single Airplane Mode icon establishes that every radio is off.

Turning off mobile data is also different from disabling all cellular functions. Consider calls, messages, accessories and accessibility equipment before changing a setting. This guide supplies no command to alter those settings automatically.

3. Record and restore deliberately

Use the card to record the setting observed, the choice made and the reason. Keep a time or condition for checking again. Avoid putting network names, home details or accessory identifiers into a public discussion.

After the practice exercise, restore the settings you intended to use and verify trusted communication works. Prepper’s connection status can inform app behavior, but it does not certify radio isolation, block OS updates or assess malware susceptibility.

Sources, dates and limits

Manual documentation reference, not a tested card for every Android device. It cannot disable radios, lock the operating system or detect malware.
